I love the way this guitar plays and sounds. It is as comfortable to play as an old pair of sneakers. The craftsmanship is embarrassing. Where to start? After one week it developed a crack in the cutaway. There is what looks like a crack under the finish in the wood going up the back of the head into the tuning machine. You can see dust under the finish where the neck meets the body. Gold platting is pitting after 8 months of playing and I wipe it off every time I play it faithfully! There is bubbling in the finish on the neck. I have never seen anything like this before. Lastly, the volume knob is not a volume knob at least on my guitar. It is a tone knob that when set to Zero kills the volume. I don’t find this particularly useful and may rewire it. I received this as a surprise gift from my wife and therefore it is my most treasured possession. But If I had saved up and bought it myself it would have gone back. I have heard great things about the Epiphone Elitists. For this price range I would recommend looking at those.
