It features neck-thru-body construction. The neck is super strong 3-piece maple with a thin U-shape for speed and comfort enhanced by the 24 extra jumbo frets on the ebony fretboard.The alder body sports a flame maple top the striking grain shining from a gorgeous see-through finish. The great woods aren't just for looks however. Alder provides great sustain and the maple heightens tone brightness and clarity.Of course it wouldn't do to start off with great tone and then lose it with the wrong pickups. That's why ESP has installed the highly sought-after EMG 81 Active pickup set in this Kirk Hammett Anniversary signature.
